An Era of Conscience

Awakening of world Citizens Everyone be leader of conscience

Mr. Rene Wadlow, president of AWC, advocates to awake everyone’s inner voice and enter era of conscience.

“What are your words of conscience?” are becoming the most popular greeting this year as the people who have responded to the movement of An Era of Conscience are so eager and thrilled to share with others. On February 16, An Era of Conscience was officially launched in 25 cities around the world and quickly gained widespread attentions. As of today, 232 organizations have co-organized the movement and people from more than 130 nations have participated. Among the noteworthy organizations are Environmental Organizations of Brazil, Ural project organization of Siberia Center of Russia, International Nonviolent Observation Organization of France, the Netherlands whole-win network, the U.S. We, The World, and City Montessori school in Lucknow, India, the world's largest school - etc.

“Era of conscience” is initiated by Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), UN/NGO Association of World Citizens(AWC) and Tai Ji Men (TJM) Qigong Academy. Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men, points out “conscience is the key to inspire the kind hearts and good intentions of humanity.” The movement has quickly gained wide recognition after Dr. Hong’s advocacy. Mr. Rene Wadlow, current president of AWC praises that a great awakening is taking shape in the world. He points out that we are advancing from the national consciousness of the past into a new global society. As citizens of the world, we are inspired by a century of progress in the past such as the rule of law, democracy, gender equality, and reductions of poverty and hunger. He likens the conscience as the individual’s inner ear, listening carefully to the voice as what we should do or what we should not do. He emphasizes “we will not be blinded by the environment whenever we own the conscience and keep alert and sensitive to the truth, justice and morality.” He appeals us to awake the inner voice and enter era of conscience.

Dr. Belembaye T. Bell, national consultant for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, enthusiastically supports era of conscience movement. He points out only people who embrace conscience can bring peace and harmony to the world. The conscience is the greatest wealth and talent of human beings given by God for the sake of everyone’s goodness. He declares that we should have a grand celebration on February 16 to highlight only the pure conscience can make today’s world move forward. “I invite all people I work with together to participate in this movement to promote peace and harmony. May all the nations in the world live with peace and conscience.”

Mr. Divino Roberto Verissimo, chairman of Environmental Protection Organization of Brazil, fully supports “Era of Conscience” movement. He says every citizen of world should jointly protect the earth—our only home. Dr. Christos A. Theodoulou, Chairman of Nations Association of Cyprus, says that “we must work hard to make peace and to promote understanding. To make love and peace prevail, we must protect human dignities, uphold rule of law, flight hunger and poverty, and eradicate diseases.” Dr. Lisinka Ulatowka is a representative of Association of World Citizen to the United Nations, and founder of whole-win network, a Christian and futurist , a strategic consultant and chairman of Australian Global directions as well. Dr, Keith Suter often discusses international relationship in Sydney’s broadcasting. Both of them participated in World Citizens Assembly in 2001, immediately promise to jointly promote “era of conscience” after hearing the message.

In view of the many environmental degradations, it is imperative to find solutions to the worldly problems. In 2001, Dr. Hong held the World Citizens Assembly in Taipei in the capacity of advisory board member and honorary vice president of AWC. The World Citizens Assembly 2001 in Taipei was attended by more than 600 representatives of world citizens from 50 plus nations, received more than 50 congratulatory letters from heads of states and UN ambassadors, and was witnessed by more than 30,000 Taiwanese people from different fileds. Dr. Hong declared April 1 as Taiwan’s World Citizens Day. The conference was listed as the important conference of the year by UNESCO. The resolutions of the Assembly were made into a Declaration of Peace and a global campaign of declaration endorsement quickly began. The global endorsement received more than 2 million signatures from 158 nations and the result was passed to the United Nations evidencing civilian’s aspirations for peace. In 2010 the Summit of Human Rights for World Citizens was held and campaign to invite articles with kind hearts and good intentions started. More than a quarter million of good articles from 196 nations were collected in response to the Summit. For years, AWC has constantly followed the state of the world and propose timely responses in due course.

The movement of An Era of Conscience was started in the beginning of the year 2014. It aims to encourage everyone to be the leader of his/her conscience, speak words of conscience, and do deeds of conscience. In the process of upholding our conscience, we will create multiple circles of positive energies and a world of love and peace. Everyone is welcomed to logon to the website at www.aneoc.org to share words of conscience in less than 300 words with photos attached or deliver the works of conscience through any other presentable format such as pictures, comics or drawings. You can also do a 30-second video or audio clip and email it to info.aneoc@gmail.com. Organizations are invited to co-organize the movement. Let’s work together to create a world of love and peace.
