On Saturday, September 27th, 2014, Rowland Heights Chinese Association held its 24th Annual Fundraising Banquet at 6 pm at the Royal Vista Golf Course in the city of Walnut, California. Congressman and the Chairman of the House of Foreign Affairs Committee Ed Royce, California State Senator Bob Huff, community leaders including the Rowland Heights Unified School District education board member Cary C. Chen, newly appointed Superintendent Dr. Julie Mitchell, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Teresa M. Healy, school teachers, students, enterprises and community members also participated in the function.

"An Era of Conscience" movement (ANEOC) international volunteers were invited to present its heart warming theme song and high octane dance performance 'Power of Love' in support of strengthening solidarity and the betterment of the community. The attendees responded to the promotion of the ANEOC with great enthusiasm and proclaimed their desire to "Protect the conscience in our hearts; create an era of love and peace." Congressman Ed Royce and community leaders led the participants in jointly promoting this all-important movement. ANEOC has become a widely recognized international platform for positive communication and inspiring exchanges for world citizens from 185 countries; more than 2000 organizations have co-promoted the movement.

In the face of heightening international tension, social turmoil and challenges put world citizens in a state of uncertainty and anxiety. People's judgments are at times clouded to distinguish right from wrong, true from false and good from bad. Conscience, the purest energy of our hearts and the origin of human goodness will be the key to reverse the adversity of this troubled world. As the initiator of An Era of Conscience movement Dr. Hong Tao-Tze stated, "Kind intentions and good hearts are the positive energies necessary to safeguard the earth's sustainable development." Through collective efforts of taking conscientious actions in our everyday endeavors, a peaceful and harmonious world can finally become a reality.
