An Era of Conscience

Unveil conscience to safeguard human rights and preserve mankind’s precious historical treasure

(Reporter Jessimona Dai, India) On December 10th, 2014, also known as the International Human Rights Day, four buses carried the participants of the Fifteenth International Conference of Chief Justices of the World, from New Delhi to the renowned world heritage, Taj Mahal. The host of the conference, City Montessori School (CMS), formally set up the tour to let the attendees experience India and witness many problems that still persist, such as poverty, hunger, pollution, etc. More importantly, the tour called upon every country to continue to work towards the protection of human rights and children’s welfare, just like how the great historical treasure Taj Mahal, is being carefully preserved from one generation to another.

Passionate students and international volunteers signaled “conscience “hand gesture and proclaimed to “Protect the conscience in our hearts, create an era of love and peace”.

There is a saying that goes, “The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it.” In the same manner, the rule of law can safeguard human rights and children’s welfare. But if one abuses the power of laws, the consequences to the society can be detrimental. Thus, An Era of Conscience movement aims to prevent such scenario from unfolding by awakening mankind’s conscience. As a result, volunteers from the movement invited chief justices and other attendees of the conference to endorse this movement. Excited to contribute, people of all ages were passionate to be a part of this movement as they hoped that the positive energy could ensure world’s sustainable development and bring a bright future for the youthful children.

Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, the initiator of “An Era of Conscience Movement”, the President of the Federation of World Peace and Love, and the Zhang Men-Reng of Tai Ji Men, points out, “Laws are external regulations and conscience is inner rule of a person. Laws are man-made and conscience is god’s justice. Laws must be fair but conscience is naturally unselfish. Awakening of conscience inspires global citizens to fight for fair rule of law. Safeguarding the laws with conscience ensures justice in the society, thus ensuring an everlasting peace and stability of a country.”

The 15th Annual International Conference of Chief Justice of the World will be held from December 10 to 16, 2014 at Lucknow of India. Chief

Justices from around the world will gather and, in the name of welfare of the children, discuss ways of uniting the world for future generations through enforceable international laws and effective global governance to resolve major issues such as the worsening nuclear arm races, global climate change, civil wars, ethnic cleansing, terrorism, drug abuse, poverty, diseases, etc. Fifteen international volunteers helped promote “An Era of Conscience Movement” through singing, playing videos, and holding youth seminars during the international conference and in the CMS’s campus. This year’s August, international volunteers introduced “An Era of Conscience Movement” into the United Nations during the three-day UN NGO gathering and received vast support and responses.
